Since 1995 Contemporary Cuban Artists Francis Acea and Diango Hernandez have been collaborating under the name Ordo Amoris Cabinet. The pair have exhibited their work throughout Latin America and Europe. Their work consists of diverse media that range from installations, photography and design.
Ordo Amoris Cabinet’s work seeks to give everyday objects new context by bringing them into art spaces and purposely display objects that appear to be worthless. Objects are displayed in a conceptual space, while at the same time, the artists are careful to ensure that they retain their original function. Sometimes after they are exhibited the objects are returned to their original locations or are even dismantled.
