(b. Managua, Nicaragua, 1942).
This Nicaraguan painter began his artistic training at the "La Salle" Academy in Managua. He later travels to Italy and studies medicine at the Facoltà di Medicina dell’ Università di Firenze. Although still practicing medicine, he later joins the Accademia di San Marco and studies liberal arts, design and art history. He later moves to Rome and studies fresco painting at the Scuola di Arti Ornamentali di San Giacomo. While in Europe he wins several awards including the Sinigaglia prize in Florence in 1968 and the gold medal in Viareggio in 1974. He later returns to his country and continues his career there. His collective exhibitions include: 1981, Pintura Contemporánea de Nicaragua, Museo Carrillo-Gil, Mexico City; 1991, Maestros Nicaragüenses, Gary Nader Gallery, Miami, USA; 2000, Un, Dos, Tres Gallery, San Salvador, El Salvador; 2001, Italian–Latin American Institute, Venice Biennial, Venice Italy.
