(b. Havana, Cuba, 1968).
This young Cuban painter studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte and received a grant from the Ludwig foundation. In 1998 he was awarded an artist in residence at the Mid America Art Alliance (USA) and 1999 at the Barbican Center of London. His collective exhibits include the following: 1998, Contemporary Art from Cuba: Irony and Survival on the Utopian Island, Arizona State University Art Museum, Tucson (USA); 1999, Working for the English, Barbican Centre, London (GB); 2000, Arco 2000, Galeria "La Casona", Madrid, Spain; Havana-Naguila. Cuba-Israel: Dialogue, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem (Israel); 2001, Arco 2001. Project Room, Madrid.
