(b. Potosí, Bolivia, 1939). This Bolivian painter begins exhibiting his work at the age of sixteen. He later attends and graduates from the Academia de Bellas Artes in Potosi and continues his studies by graduating with a degree in architecture in 1968 from the Univeristy of San Andres inLa Paz. He continued painting throughout, established a reputation and became associated with the Association of Watercolor Painters in the United States (1981), Mexico (1983), and Spain (1984). He wins many awards includeng: the National Grand Prize in Painting, La Paz in 1975, the National First Prize and Gold Metal in the Watercolor Salon, Mexico in 1983 and wins awards in Buenos Aires (1997) and Bolivia (1998).
