(b. Santiago, Chile).
He attended the Experimental Artistic School and the School of Art at the Universidad Católica of Chile, where he received his art degree with a speciality in printmaking. In 1979 he attended the Seminary of Contemporary Printmaking Techniques, taught by Eugenio Tellez. From 1993-1994 Banderas lived and worked in New York. His work has been shown in various international group exhibitions such as the Exhibit of Graphic Art, Painting and Sculpture at the Galería Centro Imagen in 1979, and Homage to Surrealism at the Chilean-French Institute of Culture in Santiago, Chile in 1982, and at the Osaka Contemporary Art Center in Osaka, Japan in 1997, among others.
