Brazil, 1943)During the 1970s in Brazil there was a widening of the visual arts vocabulary and artists began to use performance, photocopying, books, photography, video, and the cinema as elements in their work. Art was seen as having a social role, and art as a commodity was rejected. Regina Vater was one of several artists to follow this tendency.
