(b. Tegucigalpa, Honduras, 1943).
Garay began his studies at the National School of Fine Arts in 1959 and became a professor of fine arts. With awards received include; the National award of art, Pablo Zelaya Sierra in 1983 and XI Fall recital in 1992. In 1991 he exhibited in a solo show entitled, 32 AƱos de Pintura.
In his first years, he was dedicated to painting women field workers. There are several of his art works that belong in bank collections or private individuals. He has also painted several murals, two which are in Santa Lucia, the Ministry of Economics and another in the country home El Parnaso in Santa Ana. In 1964 the main theme in his works was the Church of Comayagua. Garay’s artwork is known for its impeccable perspective, its drawings and the way the light is handled.
