(b. Oaxaca, Mexico, 1959). Sergio Hernández studied at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas and the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City. He is distinguished as one of the most original and innovative of Francisco Toledo’s Oaxacan followers in the style of Magic Realism.
