(b. San Salvador, El Salvador, 1919; d. New York City, New York, 1978).
Aguilar moved as a young boy with his family to France. When he was 15 he studied at the Paris workshop of Christian Berard, and later at the Académie Julian. His first solo exhibition in the U.S. was at the Pan American Union in 1966. He has had other solo exhibitions in San Salvador, Lima, New York, and Washington D.C., and participated in the Sío Paulo Bienal in 1967. His works use textured mixed media and depict objects such as bottles, glasses, and fruit.
