(b. Lima, Peru, 1947).
From 1965 to 1970 he studied painting, drawing, and printmaking in his native city at the National School of Fine Arts. In 1972 he was awarded a grant by the British Council to travel abroad and study painting at Cardiff College of Art in Wales. In 1977 he won the Fulbright Fellowship which brought him to New York and furthered his academic standard in the world of Art.
