(b. La Paz, Honduras,1944) He has exhibited in North, Central, and South America as well as Europe. With in the awards received, include a Gold Medal in the School of Fine Arts (1977); title of Honor in UNAH Biennial (1989) and a scholarship from OEA. He was a professor at an elementary and Professor at a school of Fine Arts and received his degree at the National School of Fine Arts in 1978. In his art works, he paints the human body in fragments, a metaphor for the disorderly world. In his paintings, Castillo takes us to a composition of "mesomorphonic" which bridges the gap between the reality and fantasy. In his technique, all of his sketches are composed of chalk. For every final painting he has at least 40 sketches. He worked on oil on canvas and worked with both large and small scales. He uses the colors straight out of the tubes to result with bright and vivid colors.
