(b. Comayguela, Honduras, 1944) He graduated from the national School of Fine Arts. Some of the recurrent themes in his works are the military presence of the United States in his country, the ecological destruction, poverty, the false elections and the militarism in the society. He has been identified as a painter with a tendency towards political and social expressionism. He questions and criticizes the world through his artwork. In his technique he utilizes acrylics on canvas. He applies color sometimes directly form the tube and mixes diverse materials such as nylon, hemp, and wood in search for an esthetic value. His lines, like his colors, are straight. The contrast is shown through the violent colors that placed on the dark background. His paintings are energetic, spontaneous and dramatic. He assimilates the universal styles: Cubism, Fauvism and conceptual art to make a style of his own. He has exhibited in North America, Ecuador and Germany. In 1989 he won a prize
