(b. Comayaguela, Honduras, 1947) Was founder of the Department of Fine Arts at the National University of Pedagogia. He also participated with the organization Dante Lazzaroni workshop and La Merced Workshop. Awards received include: Grand prize at both 7th and 9th National Salon at IHCI and two the Gold Medals at the Biennial at UNAH once in 1989 and another in 1991. He also won 1st prize at the Sampedrano Cultural Center Vida Y Obra de General Morazán in 1992. In his work, the artist portrays a situation or moment that makes the audience reflect on their life and acts. He has dealt with themes of war, political convulsion, tragedy and human decadence. He also feels that art cannot completely separate itself from politics and the vernacular. The colors of his works are luminous and eye catching. The forms and lines are smooth, but the images are frequently traumatizing and sometimes disturbing. His works are in the permanent exhibits at the Museum of the Americ
