(b. Dulce Nobre de Copan, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, 1926).
Becerra was born in Dulce Nobre de Copan, Honduras. In 1944 he moved to Tegucigalpa to study at The School of Fine Arts. He won a scholarship that sent him to Italy to continue his studies. Becerra is defined as an artist in the Neo-figurative style, in which he never leaves reality nor does he part himself from the objective world. The main subjects in his works are man and his chores. He resided in Milan, Italy, where he taught at the Constanza Institute and the Modigliani Academy. In 1987 he was awarded the Marconi Award, which is the most prestigious award in the art field in Italy.

At the beginning of his artistic career, Becerra painted landscapes in the Impressionist style. Through the impact of World War II, his style evolved to a Social Expressionism. After transferring to the Academy in Rome, he began painting in the Cubist style. Finally in the 1970s, he transcended to a Neo-figurative style, which is what he exc
