Ala Plástica
Argentina 1999

Courtesy Marcelo Miranda
En 1999, Ala Plástica went to the wetlands of Río de La Plata in order to develop alongside local communities methods for cleaning the ecosystem that Shell had polluted with crude oil. The group combined direct interventions, analyses of satellite photos, and precisely defined concepts without giving up the symbolic potential of art.
